Buraq Flash · allergen sheet
Only allergen: milk.
Last updated 2 September 2026 · applies to every Buraq box on the menu
Contains milk (the yoghurt). Made without the other 13 listed allergens as ingredients.
The milk is the Greek-yoghurt raita pot in every box. Leave the pot closed and the main, salad and rice have no milk added to them — but they are packed in the same kitchen and the same box, so we still describe every box as containing milk.
The seven boxes
The 14 allergens that UK law requires us to declare, box by box. Yes means the box contains it. No means we don't use it as an ingredient in that box.

What goes in
- Curry & rice boxes: chicken, lamb or vegetables cooked in our house garam masala (ground from whole spices), onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, sunflower oil; white basmati rice.
- Pilau boxes: chicken or lamb cooked with basmati rice, onion, whole spices and sunflower oil.
- Biryani boxes: chicken or lamb layered with basmati rice, our biryani masala, onion, tomato and sunflower oil.
- Salad: cucumber, tomato, red onion, a green chilli. Undressed.
- Raita pot: Greek-style yoghurt (milk), cucumber, herbs, cumin.
- Drinks: sealed, manufacturer-labelled cans and bottles. Read the can for its own ingredients.
We cook with sunflower oil, never ghee or butter. We don't use nuts, peanuts, sesame, soya, wheat flour, eggs, fish, shellfish, celery, mustard, lupin or sulphites as ingredients in any box.
Buraq Table platters
Platters are for team orders through Buraq Table, not the Flash menu, and they are different:
- Meat samosas and vegetable samosas — the pastry contains wheat (cereals containing gluten).
- Pakoras — gram (chickpea) flour batter.
- Channa chaat — contains milk (yoghurt).
Cross-contact
Everything is cooked in one registered home kitchen used only for Buraq, by one cook, from ingredients we buy ourselves. We don't bring the other 13 allergens into that kitchen as ingredients. We can't laboratory-test each batch, and spices and dry goods come from suppliers who may handle other allergens, so we do not describe any box as "free from" anything. If you have a severe allergy, please ask us before you order rather than relying on this sheet alone.
How to tell us
- Put the allergy in the notes box when you order, every time.
- Or call Hooria on 07767 192008 before 10:00 on the day.
- If we can't be sure a box is right for you, we'll say so and refund you rather than guess.
- Every box label says Contains: MILK and the time it was made.
